Eco-Friendly, Rustic Farm Theme Party
Eco-Friendly Party Supplies for a Rustic Farm Theme Celebration
Send paperless electronic invitations. If that's too informal for you, choose eco-friendly, invitations on plantable seed paper.
Reused and recycled are never more charming than when we decorate with the rustic artifacts found at flea markets and antique shops. For example: Old toy trucks can be incorporated in your tablescape as part of a centerpiece, filled with potted plants, or used to serve snacks at your party.

Recycled food tins from the early 1900s can be used as containers for live flower cuttings or seedlings of lettuce, chard, basil, parsley, eggplant and tomatoes. Arrange these on your table as an artful centerpiece.
Recycled, braided garden twine can be used to tie up linen or other cloth napkins.
Fill second-hand baskets to overflowing with live flowering plants.
Mismatched antique china and tarnished flatware adds rustic charm to your party.
Pick up a few old paintings of barns, flowers, and the harvest to hang on posts around your party, adding extra splashes of color.
Farm Friendly Food
Purchase as many ingredients as you can from farmer's markets to support local farms.
Serve fresh-cut, organically grown fruit and vegetables on unbleached coffee filters for an unusual, compostable plate that can be tossed into the compost pile when done.
Dish up organic ice cream in homemade cookie bowls.
Place simple white cupcakes that have been frosted with vanilla buttercream on beautiful fig leaves for a nature inspired presentation.
Check to see if any of your regional wineries are organic and, if so, offer a variety of these locally sourced wines to your adult guests.
Support sustainable, ethical farm efforts by serving organic, fair-trade coffees and teas to guests.
Eco-Friendly Activities for a Rustic Farm Theme Party
After the food is gobbled up, engage the children in a fun planting activity that transfers the seedling centerpieces into the garden.
Hire an inflatable bouncer that is solar powered.
Eco-Friendly Party Favors
Give guests personalized seed packets or seed bombs to take home and plant in their own gardens.
Other Eco-Friendly Theme Party Thoughts
If you choose to use environmentally friendly disposable party goods, such as Eco Bamboo Tableware or Palm Leaf Tableware for your party, remember to recycle or compost when your party's over.
If you don't have space to plant your potted herb and vegetable decorations in your own garden, donate them to local schools organic gardening programs.
